Introducing Madi: our receptionist and administration superstar. She is a lover of The Office with great taste in music – but you’ll find all this out in our ten questions of getting to know Madi. Let’s go:
Q: What has your career journey looked like so far?
A: I worked at Bunnings for 5 years starting in the customer service department before moving to the café for my last 1 and a half years. It was a great experience, especially becoming a barista expert and having a lot of regular customers coming in specifically for a coffee made by me (not to brag or anything). I then decided to try something brand new: reception and admin, and I love it, feels like I am literally in The Office!
Q: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
A: Bubbly, loves-a-chat, hyper.
Q: What is something about you that nobody here at DocSol knows?
A: I love Eminem and I hate seafood.
Q: What is the best thing since sliced bread?
A: The Eminem concert in Feb 2019 – seeing him rap so fast!!
Q: What is the best trip you have taken – where and why?
A: This is hard, I’ve been to so many amazing places overseas, but Japan has to be one of the best. I went with my partner in 2020 and it was the best time, especially with how well we (my partner) organised it. The highlight had to be riding go-carts on the actual roads of Tokyo and dressing up as movie characters, as well as the snow festival in Sapporo. I can’t wait to go back soon.
Q: If you could live in any other country, where would you choose?
A: Probably Japan, it’s so clean and the people are so nice.
Q: What is one thing you’ve done that you are really proud of?
A: Not liking seafood.
Q: You’re stranded on a deserted island! Who are 3 fictional characters you’d like to have with you?
A: Peter Griffin (he’d be the fun one), Dwight Shrute (he lives on a farm), Pam (she’s the brains).
Q: What is your favourite can’t-live-without food?
A: Another hard one!! I’m a real big fan of sweets, definitely don’t think I could live without them but another one would have to be pasta (any type that hasn’t got any seafood in it!)
Q: What are you looking forward to at DocSol?
A: Progressing within the business and learning heaps of new things, as well as making new friendships with my work colleagues.
