Claire Miller and her Australia Says No More team has partnered with Macleod Refuge, a Women’s shelter on the Gold Coast. They have been given funding to build another much needed high security shelter, unfortunately the funding does NOT cover furnishings or home wares for the property.
For the first time, Macleod are organising a fundraiser to be able to furnish this new building.
They are hosting a Gala Dinner on the 29th February 2020 at the QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise.
On the evening, there will be an auction of donated items to help with this. They have corporate tables and advertising sponsorship opportunities still available as per below.
Macleod Accommodation Support Service believes the structure, culture, economic and social values of our society reinforce the power disparities between men and women and ultimately afford men a position of power and privilege.
The service seeks to address issues of empowerment, equality, and safety in the delivery of services for women and children who experience domestic violence.
